What You Can Expect

I believe therapy can be a place to transform and heal trauma and old wounds as well as a place to learn new skills, gain insights and make meaningful change in your life. One of the biggest predictors of successful therapy is a good therapeutic relationship and it is my goal to make sure you are seen, heard and feel safe in our sessions together.

You might feel like the weight of the world is on your chest—you aren’t alone. Whether you are struggling in your relationship, parenthood or even just getting through life’s ups and downs—I’m here to guide you through your feelings and help you heal. My clients often come in feeling overwhelmed, anxious and unsure where to even begin. After working together, they often leave feeling lighter and have a greater sense of who they are and how to express that freely.

I utilize a number of therapeutic techniques to help foster a greater sense of awareness and create more safety in your body, mind and spirit. I offer trauma-informed practices such as parts work (IFS) , attachment and somatic techniques in order to make sense of it all and find more ease in your body. These evidence-based techniques help get to the root of your feelings. I find this is where the greatest transformation often happens—both individually and with couples.

Virtual sessions are always an option and available to anyone in Wisconsin. Alternatively, some clients like to be in nature for our sessions—I do that too.

Lastly, you should also know that I incorporate humor throughout and we will likely laugh together in sessions. I believe you will find a nurturing and supportive environment where you feel you can be yourself and open those tricky parts that hold you back in a loving, kind and nonjudgmental way.
